ARCO/Murray in Nashville, TN seeks a Director of Business Development to build new client relationships and grow market opportunities across the United States. You’ll show a proven sales track record in the construction sector and the ability to earn trust with clients and colleagues.

The role requires strategic relationship building, market analysis, and leadership in developing and executing the sales plan. This is a long-term position based in Nashville with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Design, Construction Management or related preferred).
• 10+ years of technical sales experience in construction, food & beverage, or engineering design industries.
• Experience with Economic Development departments/individuals.
• Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships to generate new business opportunities with end users.
• Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and top-of-mind awareness.
• Research economic factors influencing market activity in niche markets or geographies.
• Attend trade shows and association meetings to stay abreast of market conditions.
• Provide progress updates to ARCO management on new business activities.
• Help develop and manage the sales plan execution.
• Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with internal teams.
• Travel as needed.
• Establish profitable relationships with decision makers.
