Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Director of Infrastructure and Cloud Hosting to lead a skilled engineering team delivering IT infrastructure and cloud services for a growing business. The role focuses on scalable delivery, standards, and strategic direction.

You will manage O365, AD/LDAP, Windows/Linux, Azure/AWS hosting, VDI, storage, backups, and DR testing while guiding budget, KPIs, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
• 10 years leadership experience in a multi-site enterprise infrastructure organization
• Experience managing outsourced service providers
• Cloud certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner and/or Azure Fundamentals required; higher levels preferred
• PMP certification can differentiate
• Strong communication and leadership; ability to manage priorities across teams

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Sun Life DentaQuest Infrastructure and Cloud hosting products and services.
• Oversee infrastructure areas: O365, AD/LDAP, Windows/Linux servers, Azure, AWS, virtualization, storage, backups, VDI.
• Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
• Set team vision; maintain standards; document systems and policies.
• Develop KPI/SLA measures to evaluate productivity.
• Lead division-level technical projects and budget management.
• Mentor staff and drive career development.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams on implementations.
