Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Director of Infrastructure and Cloud Hosting to lead a skilled engineering team delivering IT infrastructure and cloud services with scalable, compliant solutions.

You will design, implement, and optimize the systems needed to support a growing business across on‑prem and cloud environments. The role includes setting team direction, managing budgets, KPIs, DR readiness, and collaborating with IT and business units to ensure reliable and secure operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced degree in Information Systems, Business, Planning, or related field is a plus.
• 10 years leadership experience in a multi-site enterprise infrastructure organization.
• Direct supervision and staff development experience.
• Experience managing outsourced service/providers.
• Cloud certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner and/or Azure Fundamentals; higher levels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of SunLife DentaQuest Infrastructure and Cloud hosting products/services.
• Ensure service delivery for O365, AD/LDAP, Windows/Linux, Azure/AWS hosting, virtualization, storage, backups, and VDI.
• Ensure Disaster Recovery plans are in place and tested for critical services.
• Set team vision, maintain standards, document and inventory systems.
• Develop KPIs, performance targets, and SLAs to measure productivity.
• Manage division-level technical implementation projects and budgets.
