Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Director of Infrastructure and Cloud Hosting to lead a highly skilled engineering team delivering scalable IT infrastructure and cloud services.

You will partner with architects, drive standardization, manage budgets, and ensure DR readiness while guiding cross‑functional collaboration across Sun Life’s enterprise IT stack. The role emphasizes leadership, governance, vendor management, and complex multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• An advanced degree in Information Systems, Business, Planning, or a related field is a plus.
• 10 years leadership experience of a multi-site enterprise infrastructure organization
• Direct supervision and staff development experience
• Experience managing outsourced service and service providers
• Foundational Cloud Certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner and/or Azure Fundamentals) are required with higher levels of certification preferred
• ITIL/ITSM certifications are a strong plus to demonstrate operational discipline
• The PMP certification can be a differentiator for a candidate

Responsabilités

• Ensures development and delivery of all products and services within the Sunlife DentaQuest Infrastructure and Cloud hosting vertical.
• Ensures service delivery for all key areas of the infrastructure (O365, Active Directory/LDAP, Windows/Linux servers, Azure hosting, AWS hosting, Virtualization and hardware, Data storage and backups, VDI and desktop engineering)
• Assure Disaster Recovery is in place and tested as required for critical business services
• Leads team vision and direction, maintains standards and policies, documents and inventories systems
• Develops benchmark measures (KPIs, targets, SLAs) to evaluate productivity
• Manages division‑level technical implementation projects
• License and contract management for Infrastructure and supporting teams
• Develops support plans and implementation strategies for IT needs
• Leads financial management for technical services budget (operational and capital)
• Leads personnel management including performance management and career development
• Supports core competencies, processes, and best practices
• Interacts with business and IT teams for implementations and support
• Collaborates with KA's and training with NOC for expanded support
• Manages capacity and spend across infrastructure
• Participates in activities to improve performance and KPIs
• Performs other duties as assigned
