Moody's Investors Service is seeking a Senior Director, Banking Strategy – Lending within Moody's Analytics Banking Business Unit. The role defines the vision for Lending, translates market insights into strategy, and coordinates cross-functional initiatives to deliver measurable business outcomes.

The candidate will lead domain-level assessments, partner with Product Strategy, and drive investment priorities while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to align strategies

Qualifications

• 15+ years in banking/financial services, consulting, product strategy, or commercial leadership
• Experience leading customer discovery and converting insights into value propositions and investments
• Proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders and coordinate execution across functions/geographies
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to present strategic rationale to diverse audiences
• Collaborative team player with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex projects
• Proficient in AI concepts with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and improve operations

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the medium- to long-term vision for the Lending domain within Moody's Analytics Banking BU
• Develop deep understanding of lending workflows, personas, jobs-to-be-done, and customer pain points
• Lead market assessment, segmentation, trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics
• Translate customer and market insight into domain strategy, use cases, and future-state positioning
• Lead domain-level build, partner, or buy assessments and shape investment priorities and business cases
• Coordinate with Product Strategy to convert priorities into differentiated propositions and solution direction
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Data Estate, Advisory, Partnerships, Go-to-Market, Finance, and other Moody's entities to surface dependencies and resolve misalignment
