Eaton is hiring a Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer Specialist to design real-time DSP algorithms for UPS and energy storage products. The role blends on-site and remote work within 50 miles of Raleigh, NC, with relocation assistance available nationwide.

The candidate will develop advanced control software for high-power three-phase systems, using MATLAB/Simulink for simulations and validating with real-time testbeds. On-site collaboration is expected three days weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years in real-time digital controls for power electronics.
• MS with 5+ years in real-time digital controls and algorithms for industrial products.
• PhD with 2+ years in real-time digital controls and algorithms for power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting safety, quality, and schedule goals.
• Guide and lead other technical project team members.
• Collaborate with global product teams to solve performance and reliability issues.
• Develop mathematical models and DSP control algorithms for power conversion.
• Create simulations in MATLAB/Simulink and verify designs with simulations.
