Job summary
Eaton is hiring a Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer Specialist in a hybrid Raleigh, NC area role. You’ll design real-time DSP algorithms for three-phase UPS and energy storage products, with opportunities to influence power electronics controls and software across a global team.
The position includes relocation assistance within the US and potential H1B sponsorship. Strong expertise in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and real-time control is required, with collaboration across engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years real-time digital controls experience, or
- MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience, or
- PhD with 2+ years experience in real-time digital controls for power electronics.
Responsibilities
- Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting customer requirements and Eaton commitments.
- Provide technical leadership to project teams and cross-functional members.
- Collaborate with global teams to resolve performance, safety, reliability, and quality issues.
- Develop mathematical models and DSP control algorithms for power conversion products.
- Validate designs with simulations and real-time testbeds (OPAL-RT/HIL).
