Job summary

Eaton in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Specialist Digital Controls and Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. This hybrid role blends on-site collaboration with remote work within 50 miles of our Raleigh facility, focusing on high‑power three‑phase UPS systems and energy storage products.

You will design real-time DSP algorithms, develop models in MATLAB/Simulink, and work with global product development teams to meet performance, safety and reliability goals.

Qualifications

• Real-time digital controls experience in power electronics or industrial products.
• Experience with DSP algorithms and control system software.
• Strong background in power electronics hardware and software integration.

Responsibilities

• Launch critical power infrastructure products meeting customer and Eaton requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and collaborate with global teams.
• Develop DSP control algorithms and validate via simulations and HIL testing.
• Design models and algorithms for advanced power conversion systems.
• Apply controls theory to achieve target product performance.
• Support new product development with cross-functional interfaces.
