Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Shop Diesel Technician to support growth. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex diagnostics in a shop environment. You will also handle parts requests and document repairs using the Karmak system.

The role requires strong adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and occasional travel to customer sites may be required. ASE certifications and a valid CDL are preferred with ongoing company training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related field experience may substitute.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is required.
• DOT regulations and pre-employment DOT screening may apply.
• Valid driver’s license and interstate operating authority required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy trucks.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and electronic systems.
• Identify needed parts and coordinate with Parts Dept.
• Document work on Repair Orders using company devices and Karmak app.
• Maintain clean, safe shop and travel to customer locations as needed.
