Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Shop Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on trucks and trailers. You will work in a shop environment and support Technicians I/II with complex repairs.

The role requires adherence to safety policies, ability to manage multiple tasks, and documentation in Repair Orders using Karmak. Travel to customer locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years in a related field, or equivalent.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT safety and FMCSA regulations background check.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair using advanced mechanical/hydraulic/electrical diagnostics.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and document work on RO with Karmak.
• Coordinate with Service Writer to assess customer needs and estimates.
• Travel to customer locations as needed and support shop with diagnostics.
