Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Shop Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The role supports growth and requires adherence to safety standards and efficient repair workflows.

Responsibilities include communicating with service writers, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining accuracy in repairs and documentation. Travel to customer sites may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have DOT inspections and preventative maintenance experience.
• Strong diagnostic abilities for heavy equipment and diesel systems.
• Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and triage complex repairs with senior technicians.
• Maintain safety and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards.
