Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs on fleet vehicles. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, document work, and maintain safety standards in a busy shop environment.

The role requires strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, valid driver's license, and the ability to work day shifts with occasional travel to client locations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED, plus related experience.
• 3 years’ related field experience; or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose, repair, and document mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and use appropriate safety practices.
• Communicate repair estimates with Service Writer and obtain approvals as needed.
