Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Shop Diesel Technician to support growth. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a shop setting, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Expect collaboration with Shop Diesel Technicians I/II and the service desk to identify parts and estimate repairs. You must be capable of handling complex diagnostics, maintain safety standards, and contribute to a high productively in a fast-paced fleet environment.

Qualifications

• DOT pre-employment background screening is required.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Driver Qualification File (DQF) maintenance and compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Conduct advanced mechanical/hydraulic/electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Interact with Service Writer to assess customer needs and communicate estimates.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and operate tools and equipment.
• Occasionally travel to customer locations for on-site service.
