Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Diesel Technician II to support maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers in a shop setting. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and follow-up repairs, while learning advanced diagnostics under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3 years’ related field experience or equivalent combination.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.
• Must supply hand tools for the job.
• Completion of company-required training.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems in a shop setting.
• Work with Service Writer to assess customer needs and prepare repair estimates.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety policies.
• Document work performed and parts used in Repair Orders using company tools.
