Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Shop Diesel Technician to join our team. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, and advanced mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostics in a shop environment.

You will also assist with triaging complex repairs and documenting findings for Repair Orders. The role requires strong diagnostic capabilities, tool proficiency, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 5 years’ related field experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools for duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Interstate operating authority requires candidates to be 21+.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and Preventative Maintenance inspections.
• Execute light, medium and heavy-duty repairs and complex diagnostics.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist with parts coordination.
• Document work in Repair Orders using company devices and/or Karmak application.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
• Travel to customer sites as needed for diagnostics or repairs.
• Maintain service trucks and conduct daily inspections.
• Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies.
