Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance inspections and expert repairs to reduce downtime and improve fleet reliability. Day shift runs Tuesday through Sunday with hourly pay between $33.00 and $41.00, plus a tool allowance.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections (FAI/CVI), diagnosing vehicle systems, and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training (2-year school).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles per regulatory requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Document all work performed on work orders and follow procedures.
• Mentor and assist other Fleet Technicians; may assume supervisory duties when needed.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing and basic welding/cutting as needed.
