Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute provides a safe, reliable fleet through preventive maintenance inspections and expert diagnoses. You will perform required inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company procedures.

The role supports 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM–12:00 AM) with a competitive up-to-$41.30/hour pay, shift differential, and annual tool and boot allowances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• 2-year school plus 4 years experience OR 5 years fleet maintenance and repair experience.
• ASE certifications and EPA HVAC certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Conduct annual inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations and state requirements.
• Perform quality maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, reefer units and related equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC and electrical systems per manufacturer specs.
• Document work on work orders and mentor junior Fleet Technicians.
• May perform moderate supervisory roles when managers are unavailable.
