Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute seeks a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems, and support lift-gate equipment.

The role requires strong knowledge of DOT regulations, relevant certifications, and the ability to mentor less experienced technicians. On-site work with tools provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, not required.
• 5+ years in fleet maintenance and repair or equivalent.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, HVAC, and lift-gate systems.
• Document all work on work orders and follow procedures.
• Mentor junior technicians and possibly supervise when needed.
• Adhere to DOT/FMCSA and safety regulations.
