North American Transportation Management Institute in Anchorage, AK, is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventiveMaintenance inspections and expert repairs to ensure vehicle reliability and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include annual inspections, diagnostics of engines and electrical systems, and safe operation; mentoring junior techs and potential supervisory duties when needed.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required; CDL preferred but not required.
• 5 years fleet maintenance experience or 2-year school plus 4 years.
• ASE certifications and EPA 608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment on schedule to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on tractors, trailers, and all equipment per regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance on trailers, reefer units, lift gates, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair to manufacturer specs: engines, transmissions, drive-line, brakes, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Document work on work orders and maintain accurate records.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I/II to support development and succession.
• May supervise in the Fleet Manager or Supervisor's absence.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing; knowledge of DC distribution and motor systems.
