Job summary

Sysco Foods seeks a skilled Fleet Technician to ensure safe, reliable fleet operations through preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert diagnostics. The role covers engines, transmissions, electrical, HVAC, and related systems across a diverse vehicle fleet.

The position emphasizes adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations, tool usage, and mentoring junior technicians. A CDL is preferred but not required, with opportunities for shift flexibility and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical program plus 4+ years’ experience in fleet maintenance or 5 years’ experience in fleet maintenance and repair
• High school diploma or GED required
• CDL preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across the fleet.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drive-line, electrical, HVAC, and other systems per OEM specs.
• Document work on work orders and maintain records.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I and II; may supervise when managers are unavailable.
