Job summary

Sysco Louisville is seeking a Fleet Technician to provide safe, reliable service for a diverse fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, diagnose issues, and work to reduce downtime while ensuring cost efficiency across the fleet.

The role requires strong knowledge of vehicle systems, electrical and refrigeration work, and adherence to DOT/OSHA standards. CDL is preferred but not required; supervision may be possible when managers are unavailable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, not required).
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
• 2-year school and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• ASE certifications and EPA 608/609 are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned tolerances.
• Perform Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose root causes and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Follow procedures and document work performed on orders.
• Mentor less experienced technicians and assist Fleet Manager as needed.
