Job summary

Sysco Houston (Division of USA I) is seeking a Fleet Technician to keep our heavy and medium truck fleet safe and reliable. You will perform preventive maintenance and inspections, diagnose issues, and repair to manufacturer specs to minimize downtime.

Requirements include 2-year heavy-duty/truck tech training or 5 years in fleet maintenance, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. You will mentor junior technicians and may supervise when managers are unavailable. Shift: 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent
• HS diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Carry out annual inspections (FAI/CVI) as required.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
• Document work on work orders and follow company procedures.
• Mentor other Fleet Technicians and assist with supervision when needed.
• Utilize electrical testing tools and maintain DOT regulatory compliance.
