Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. The role requires strong knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems, plus the ability to work with OEM diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities include annual inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and reliability across the fleet. CDL may be preferred, and the position offers full benefits and steady career growth within Sysco.

Qualifications

• 2-year school in medium/heavy duty truck tech plus 4+ years fleet maintenance or 5+ years experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles and equipment as required.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Follow work orders and document all work performed.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist Fleet Manager or Supervisors as needed.
