Job summary

Sysco Corp. is seeking a Fleet Technician to ensure safe, reliable and cost-efficient vehicles through expert preventive maintenance inspections and timely repairs.

The role covers engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, and refrigeration units, with emphasis on reducing downtime and improving fleet reliability. Responsibilities include conducting annual inspections, diagnosing complex issues, mentoring junior technicians, and possibly supervising when managers are unavailable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnosis on refrigeration units (Reefer) and other equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, HVAC, and related systems.
• Document all work on work orders and share knowledge with teammates.
