Job summary

Sysco Foods seeks an experienced fleet maintenance technician to ensure safe, reliable vehicles and minimize downtime. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and repair systems in tractors, trailers, and related equipment.

The role requires inspection certifications, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work from a Sysco service facility. Some duties involve electrical, welding, and diagnostic tasks with company tools provided.

Qualifications

• Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Annual Inspector Certification and Brake Inspector Certification are required per job specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and efficiency.
• Perform Annual (FAI/CVI) inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specs (engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, etc.).
• Follow work order procedures and document all work performed.
• Learn Sysco computer programs and use diagnostic software.
