Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on a full range of fleet equipment, including tractors, trailers, Reefer units and lift-gates. The role emphasizes safety, reliability and cost efficiency in fleet operations across the Plympton facility.

You will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical systems, document work orders, and mentor junior technicians while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training.
• 2-year school and 4 years of experience OR
• 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles in accordance with regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on tractors, trailers, Reefer units, lift-gates and other equipment per company methods.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drive-lines, electrical systems, brake systems and HVAC systems.
• Document all work performed on work orders and follow procedures.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I/II to support development and readiness for greater responsibilities.
