Job summary

Sysco Post Falls is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment. You will diagnose issues, follow manufacturer specifications, and document all work orders.

The role requires 5+ years of fleet maintenance experience or a combination of 2-year technical training and 4 years in the field, plus ASE/EPA certifications and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training; 2-year school plus 4 years experience or 5 years fleet maintenance experience.
• ASE certifications & Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks; EPA 608/609 HVAC & Refrigeration certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and related systems.
• Document all work on work orders and follow company procedures.
• Mentor and train junior Fleet Technicians to support development.
• May supervise in absence of Fleet Manager or Supervisors.
• Operate and interpret electrical diagnostics and testing for vehicle systems.
