Job summary

Cox Automotive in the USA is seeking a Sr Auto Maintenance Technician to service fleet vehicles. This individual contributor role operates on a day shift at a Cox location and requires extensive diesel and transmission repair experience.

New hires are eligible for a $3000 bonus. You will perform preventive maintenance, complex repairs, keep accurate maintenance records, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely parts and service while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

5+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
ASE Certification: A1-8 (L1 in emission states)
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
Must continue training to maintain current ASE status and fleet changes

Responsibilities

Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.
Has medium/heavy truck experience, booms/hydraulics, electrical, any complex repairs, design and fabrication.
Skilled on diesel and transmission repairs
Based upon certification levels, perform various repairs and maintenance including: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, electrical systems, etc.
Create and maintains vehicle history and maintenance records.
Assures availability of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, generators and electrical systems, hybrids, and on-board computer systems.
Provides custom equipment when needed by engaging in equipment design and moderate fabrication tasks including welding.
