Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a master technician to perform preventive maintenance and complex repairs on fleet vehicles. The role requires ASE-certified technicians with diesel and transmission expertise, and willingness to work varied shifts.

New hires may be eligible for a $3000 bonus. The position involves independent and team work, safe operation, and maintaining detailed vehicle records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License with safe driving record.
• 5+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Maintain ASE status and stay current with tech changes.
• Diesel and transmission experience required.
• ASE Certification: A1-8, L1 (in emission states).
• Must have physical ability and mental acuity for duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes and inspections.
• Repair medium/heavy trucks including hydraulics, electrical, and fabri­cation.
• Work on diesel and transmission repairs.
• Maintain vehicle history and upfit new vehicles as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors for parts and repairs; may assist roadside as needed.
• Keep shop clean and safe; dispose of fluids per regulations.
