Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Mississippi seeks a Fleet Technician to provide safe, reliable maintenance and expert diagnostics for our vehicle fleet. This role emphasizes preventive maintenance, inspections and timely repairs to minimize downtime and maximize fleet reliability.

The position requires experience in large vehicle maintenance, ASE/EPA certifications and the ability to work scheduled shifts, including 3rd shift. Competitive benefits and tools are provided through Sysco.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred, not required.
• 2-year school plus 4 years experience OR 5 years fleet maintenance experience.
• ASE certifications and EPA 608/609 certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, guides, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Follow documentation procedures on work orders and maintain safety and reliability.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide guidance as needed.
