Performance Foodservice in Texas is seeking a diesel/heavy-vehicle maintenance technician for 3rd shift (Sun-Thu, 10pm–6:30am). The role pays $25.00-$27.00 per hour and includes benefits from Day 1.

You will diagnose, repair fleet tractors, trailers, and reefer units, and perform road calls as needed. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, brake and steering inspections, onboard computer work, and documenting all repairs in our maintenance system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 5–7 years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
• Experience with PMs, tires & wheels, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic component repair.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and inspect components to identify root causes.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings and replace parts as needed.
• Ensure roadworthy licensing and registration; document work orders daily.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers; use hand and power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and battery checks.
• Train other employees and perform road call services as required.
