Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute in Jackson, MS, seeks a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs to keep our fleet safe, reliable and cost-efficient.

You will diagnose engines, transmissions, electrical and refrigeration systems, follow DOT guidelines, and mentor junior technicians; 3rd shift available with competitive pay and excellent benefits. Candidates must have medium/heavy-duty truck training and ASE/EPA certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of fleet maintenance and repair experience.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training completed.
• ASE certifications & automotive or heavy-duty trucks.
• EPA 608/609 certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drive-line, and electrical systems.
• Repair refrigeration units (Reefer) and related equipment.
• Document work orders and follow safety/DOT guidelines.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist supervision when needed.
