US Foods is seeking a diesel mechanic to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, and complete repairs on diesel fleet equipment including tractors, trailers, reefers, and lift gates.

The role involves night shifts Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with overtime optional. Expect competitive hourly pay ($39–$42) based on certifications, experience, and location, plus comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA and OSHA regulations knowledge preferred.
• Must furnish own hand tools.
• 5 years of verifiable heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience.
• Valid Class A CDL and DOT certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance per standards.
• Document repair orders, PM lists, and parts usage.
• Handle road service calls and provide roadside assistance as needed.
• Log repairs and inventory in the system.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment per safety guidelines.
• Assist with inventory and recordkeeping.
• Be ready to assume additional responsibilities and certifications.
