Job summary

Sysco Foods is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure safe, reliable fleet operations. You will inspect tractors, trailers, and related equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs to reduce downtime and drive efficiency.

You will work on engines, electrical systems, refrigeration units, and hydraulics, adhering to DOT regulations, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and potentially take on supervisory tasks during absences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and CDL preferred not required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck tech training with 2-year school and 4 years experience OR 5 years fleet maintenance experience.
• ASE certifications and EPA 608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability across the fleet.
• Conduct Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) per regulations for tractors, trailers and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair per manufacturer specs across engines, transmissions, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Complete work orders with proper documentation and mentor junior technicians.
