Job summary

Sysco Foods is hiring for a Fleet Technician to maintain and repair our vehicle fleet. The role focuses on safe, reliable operation with preventive maintenance, inspections and expert diagnosis to minimize downtime.

The position offers days shift discussions with a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM window, a $1/hr shift differential, and an annual tool allowance as part of excellent benefits. A strong technical background in medium/heavy trucks is required.

Qualifications

• Requires heavy/medium duty truck tech training and a high school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of formal schooling plus 1 year experience, or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
• Current driver's license and relevant inspections/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical, HVAC, and more per specs.
• Follow work orders and update Sysco computer systems.
• Complete electrical repairs and welding as needed.
