Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse fleet of trucks and equipment. The role requires adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while ensuring high reliability and uptime.

The ideal candidate has heavy/medium duty truck technical training and at least 1–3 years of experience, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate

Qualifications

• Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ASE certifications welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specs on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Document all work on work orders and follow company procedures.
• Learn and use Sysco computer programs for maintenance tracking.
• Perform electrical tests and welding as needed.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA and environmental regulations.
