North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across a wide range of fleet vehicles. The role requires strong knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems, diagnostics, welding and compliance with DOT regulations.

You will document all work on orders, mentor junior technicians, and may take on supervisory duties when managers are unavailable.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, not required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
• 2-year school plus 4 years of experience or 5 years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Able to perform inspections and preventive maintenance across a wide range of vehicle types.
• Experience with engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Responsabilidades

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications (engines, transmissions, drive-line, brakes, HVAC, electrical, etc.).
• Document all work on work orders and mentor Fleet Technician I/II for development.
• May perform moderate supervisory roles when Fleet Manager or Fleet Supervisors are unavailable.
