Job summary

Sysco Louisville, Inc. seeks a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and expert repairs on a diverse fleet. You will diagnose electrical and refrigeration issues, document work orders and ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires extensive knowledge of vehicle systems, adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations, and the ability to mentor junior technicians; CDL preferred but not required. Full-time, on-site with shift options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, Not Required).
• 2-year school and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• ASE certifications, EPA 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC & Refrigeration Certification.
• Expert knowledge of vehicle systems; experience with electrical and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles as per regulations.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all work performed on work orders; follow procedures.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I and II; may supervise when managers unavailable.
• Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.
