Job summary

Sysco Louisville, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to keep our heavy-duty fleet safe and available. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors, trailers, and support equipment to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, braking and engine systems, plus DOT and EPA certification familiarity. You must bring own tools and be prepared for a 3rd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, not required.
• 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
• ASE certifications & EPA certifications required/preferred.
• Annual Inspector and Brake Inspector certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within planned time tolerances.
• Conduct annual inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications including engines, transmissions and brakes.
• Address DVIR write-ups promptly and efficiently.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I/II and support supervision when needed.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing and electrical systems repair.
• Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as required.
