Job summary

Sysco Corp. is seeking a Fleet Technician to maintain and repair a wide range of company fleet vehicles and equipment. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency across the fleet.

The role requires experience with medium/heavy trucks, refrigeration units, and electrical systems. CDL is preferred but not required, with opportunities for growth within a stable, reputable food service company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL is preferred but not required.
• Experience with medium/heavy trucks and fleet maintenance.
• 2-year school plus 4 years of experience or 5 years of experience in fleet repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned tolerances.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles per all regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related equipment.
• Perform repairs to maximize safety and reliability of fleet.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration units (Reefer).
• Address DVIR write-ups timely and efficiently.
• Mentor Fleet Technicians I and II to higher roles.
• May assume moderate supervisory duties when Fleet Manager unavailable.
