Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a fleet maintenance technician for second shift to inspect and repair heavy trucks and related equipment. You will diagnose engines, transmissions, electrical systems and perform preventive maintenance within regulatory requirements.

The role requires medium/heavy duty truck training, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. Expect to work a dynamic schedule with on-call duties and opportunities for career growth at Sysco.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform annual inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Repair and diagnose engines, transmissions, and electrical systems per manufacturer specs.
• Follow work orders and document all maintenance performed.
