Job summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to maintain and repair a large fleet of delivery vehicles. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and complete inspections to keep equipment safe and reliable for daily operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex failures, repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems, and maintaining documentation. Metalwork and welding may be required to meet safety standards and uptime targets.

Qualifications

• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, ASE certifications (Preferred).
• 609 HVAC Certification

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability of the fleet.
• Carry out annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on tractors, trailers, and equipment per applicable regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and HVAC systems to OEM specs.
• Document all work performed on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
• Perform welding and electrical repairs as needed and ensure a safe work environment.
