Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr Auto Maintenance Technician to service fleet vehicles at a Cox location. This on-site role requires broad diesel and transmission experience and ASE certified technicians.

The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety, and high-quality repairs in a team environment. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in vehicle service, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required.
• 5+ years of vehicle service and repair experience; 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• Maintain ASE status and adapt to fleet changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance: oil changes, filter changes, inspections.
• Repair and maintain medium/heavy trucks, hydraulics, electrical systems, and related components.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and transmissions.
• Repair and upfit equipment and perform simple fabrication tasks as needed.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the shop and proper disposal of fluids.
