Job summary

Boyd Corporation's Allenton facility is seeking a Senior Tool and Die Technician to support die-cast tooling for our manufacturing processes. You will perform preventative maintenance, help with tooling and machining, and ensure accurate shop paperwork.

Comfort with tools like mills, lathes, grinders; ability to read specifications; strong communication and teamwork are required. The role follows QMS and OSHA guidelines and offers opportunities to grow within our tooling team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be able to perform advanced mathematics and use a calculator.
• Professional level communication with employees at all times.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal skills to respond to managers and customers.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and PC use.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on shot rods, high-pressure die-cast tooling, and trim dies.
• Complete shop paperwork accurately and as directed.
• Support production needs with tooling or machining work per procedures.
• Repair broken tools, mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Fabricate cores, tips, fixtures, and slot rods.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow QMS requirements.
• Follow Boyd safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
