Boyd Allenton is seeking a Senior Tool and Die Technician to join its Tooling team. You will perform preventative maintenance on die-cast tooling and support production with tooling or machining tasks as needed.

The role requires strong mathematical ability, professional communication, and the ability to read and interpret business paperwork. Safety, QMS, and teamwork are emphasized in a structured environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative maintenance on shot rods, high-pressure die-cast tooling, and trim dies.
• Complete shop paperwork accurately and as directed.
• Support production needs with tooling or machining work per procedures.
• Fix broken tools, mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Make cores, tips, fixtures and slot rods.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; follow QMS and OSHA guidelines.

Job DescriptionThe Senior Tool and Die Technician is a crucial member of Boyd Allenton’s Tooling team. The primary responsibility of this position is the preparation and maintenance of the die-cast tooling necessary for our manufacturing processes. The ability to work as a team and good communication skills are key components for success in this role.Essential Job Responsibilities· Perform preventative maintenance on shot rods, high-pressure die-cast tooling, and trim dies.· Complete shop paperwork accurately and as directed· Support production needs by completing any necessary tooling or machining work in accordance with established company procedures· Fix broken tools, mills, lathes, and grinders· Make cores tips, fixtures, and slot rods· Maintain a clean and orderly work area· Must support and follow the QMS requirements· Observe all Boyd safety and OSHA guidelines and procedures· Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications· High school diploma or GED equivalent· Perform advanced mathematics and be able to use a calculator· Must communicate with employees on a professional level at all times· Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork)· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions/requests from managers, clients, customers, and the general public· Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization· Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PCPreferred Skills and Experience· Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining company quality standards at all times· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs.· Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities under minimal supervision· Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.· Previous tooling experiencePhysical Requirements· Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear· Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch tools, equipment, and/or controls· Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds· Specific vision abilities are required for this job and include close and distance vision, color, peripheral vision, and ability to focusInterview Requirements and Candidate Privacy NoticeAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
