Responsibilities include repairing dies, maintaining surface grinders, manuals mills, lathes, and drill presses, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met in daily toolroom tasks.
The Tool & Die Technician must possess a comprehensive understanding of progressive and transfer die operations, including piercing, trimming, forming, extruding, and drawing processes used in metal stamping manufacturing. This role requires the ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of tooling and production equipment using manual and CNC machining equipment. The technician will support the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of precision tooling, dies, metal components, and manufacturing machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, modifying, repairing, and maintaining tooling to meet established quality, safety, and production standards. They must be capable of diagnosing tooling and equipment issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency. The position requires strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing production requirements. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications, as well as applying mathematical concepts related to precision machining and die maintenance. A thorough understanding of manufacturing operations and Toolroom/Die Maintenance processes is essential.
