Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Fort Meade-based development team. You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure monitoring, reliability, and scalability of services using Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform and Ansible.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years in DevOps, strong Linux skills, and scripting in Python/Bash/Go. Onsite position with mentorship and leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Top Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; TS/SCI preferred or achievable.
• 5+ years in DevOps engineering or software development with relevant hands-on cloud and container experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda) and deployment/management.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience deploying, scaling and managing applications in Linux environments.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go, with familiarity in Git and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment and automation in AWS (EKS) and on-premise edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability, scalability, and monitoring of services.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure; mentor engineering teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot production systems and implement proactive improvements.
• Lead initiatives to improve availability and performance; guide junior engineers.
