Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Fort Meade team. You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure scalable, reliable systems using Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and Ansible.

The role requires strong Linux, Python/Bash/Go skills, and DoD 8140/8570 compliance. On-site work 4–5 days/week with opportunities for mentorship and leadership within engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps Engineering or Software Development with related degree.
• 3+ years with a Master+ degree; or 9 years with HS diploma.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or similar container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda).
• Proficient with Terraform and Ansible for config management.
• Experience deploying and scaling apps; OS deployment and management.
• Programming in Python, Bash, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure development and deployment in AWS, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with developers to wire applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems and performance.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams; lead as needed.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
