Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team in San Antonio, TX. You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure monitoring, reliability, and scalability of services, with a emphasis on Kubernetes, AWS, and big data solutions.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, hands-on leadership, and the ability to work onsite 3–5 days per week. Strong scripting in Python/Bash/Go and Linux administration are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and deployment.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Proficient in Linux system administration and scripting (Python/Bash/Go).
• Experience leading engineering teams or mentoring others.
• Willing to work on customer site in San Antonio, TX 3–5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment on AWS (EKS) and on-prem/edge setups.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure service reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure for production systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues as needed.
• Continuously improve tools and processes for high availability.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers as a senior technical leader.
