DataStaff Inc. is seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technician for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients located in Richmond, VA.

*This position is onsite

Responsibilities:

1. Responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access.
2. Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software.
3. Training staff on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
4. Writing and editing documentation about troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
5. Gaining feedback from customers to improve training methods.
6. Writing and editing training manuals.
7. Running reports and analyzing common complaints and problems.
8. Troubleshooting VPN, networking, and ISP issues.

Required Skills:

1. 6+ years of strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software, including drivers and BIOS.
2. 4+ years of excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
3. 4+ years of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. 4+ years of experience in obtaining feedback from customers to improve training methods.
5. 4+ years of experience in writing and editing training manuals.
6. 4+ years of experience in running reports and analyzing common complaints and problems.
7. An openness to learning new technologies.
